Cozy studio in Gamla Stan, Stockholm

Nice apartment in a cozy and central location.

Location, Location, Location! This apartment location is fantastic, located right in the middle of old town Gamla Stan and central to most things in Stockholm. It’s thick with old town charm. Very much enjoyed our stay here. Epic coffee machine, best anywhere! Great having a small but very useful washing machine.Being in old town there are a couple of things you need to be aware of and understand about staying here (a may make it actually a 4.5 star): 1) it’s an old building like all buildings in this area, so no elevator and steep spiral stairs. Not a problem for most but know it ahead. 2) it’s small - perfect for couples, good for small families with 2 or less kids, tight for more than 2 adults. 3) the bathroom is small and it’s impossible to take a shower without flooding the floor due to the shower design (this is honestly the only real complaint we had with the apartment). This is the one thing that should (and can) be fixed.All in all a great place we would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in this central Gamla Stan apartment. Though the streets were busy, the apartment was quiet since it is not street-facing. It’s a spacious, welcoming place near everything. We highly recommend it!

We had a nice stay in an excellent location. The appt was a bit difficult to find within the building but - once found - very easy to access. We did not experience any noise from the courtyard / restaurant as was mentioned in other comments. We did however experience an unpleasant smell in the appt. coming up from the basement through the staircase. When arriving, only one of two beds were made, despite asking three times beforehand. When reported, extra linnen was quickly delivered and the issue resolved. When communicating with the host, one notices that it is a larger organisation (different senders of messages, near-miscommunications, additional t&c’s), which for me personally takes the air bnb charm somewhat away. It was clear from the start however, so I knew where I signed up to. All-in-all, we had a nice weekend in Stockholm, also due to the appt’s excellent location, but I will not stay here anymore.

This is a perfect place to stay if you want to be right in the middle of the Old Town without extremely loud noise—the only noise we heard was when the restaurant emptied glass bottles. The bed was very comfortable, and the four of us stayed for two nights—two slept on the sofa bed—with no issues! But as William kindly mentioned to us beforehand, so we knew what to expect, it’s best suited for two people.
