Åre two-story house with sauna and mountain views

Very nice and pleasant.

The house is spacious and well laid out, within walking distance of the town square and the ski bus. Convenient parking in a carport. It also matches the photos well.Communication with Kim, however, was quite challenging. Replies often felt like they came from a remote customer-service agent and didn’t always address our actual questions.For example, before arrival we asked for the quickest way to get to the ski lift and were told to “walk straight to VM8, 5–7 minutes.” In reality it’s about 1.7 km, so that advice didn’t seem accurate to us.We also noticed fairly quickly that the bedrooms became very stuffy and the bathrooms humid. There didn’t appear to be any ventilation, and we could clearly see that the pipes to and from the exhaust-air heat pump had been disconnected. When we raised this with Kim, we were told that “the heating works as it should,” which wasn’t what we were questioning. We received repeated assurances that everything was working properly, but no one came to check.

A couple hours after arriving, the electricity in the kitchen and hallway went. This resulted in no working fridge, freezer, oven, heat in first floor, hot water and light in the rooms. It took 1,5 hrs until someone called us to help. An electrician came the next day, but after this we were not allowed to use the sauna. Got some refund, but overall we were not happy with the stay.

Nice house in a great location, about 600 meters to the nearest lift, and close to both a grocery store and the Systembolaget.
