Our Head of Customer Success, Diana, explains our tenant screening process in detail. This process is one of our top priorities, and we hope this information will answer your questions about how we select tenants.

At Guestit, the security and well-being of our owners' properties is our top priority. To ensure that our tenants meet our high standards, we conduct an in-depth screening of everyone who books our properties. 
This is an extra verification beyond what is done on booking platforms like Airbnb. In this way, we can ensure that the right tenants rent the properties we manage and that they take care of the home as if it were their own. Even inside your property, with the help of installed digital tools and a strong focus on detail, we ensure that your home is secure.

Guestit's screening process:

Step 1: Using booking platforms with built-in verification 
Platforms like Airbnb have robust identity verification processes. They verify government-issued ID documents and confirm email addresses. Additionally, Guestit, as a professional host with updated tenant profile views, can see previous reviews, travel badges, and other information about tenants.

Step 2: Requesting additional verification via our online check-in form 
Even though booking channels have their own verification processes, we at Guestit have decided to take extra measures for security and use our own verification tool. This is done via an online check-in form filled out by all tenants staying in one of our properties. Through this, tenants provide us with valuable information such as a copy of their ID documents, names of all tenants staying in the property, reason for the trip, and updated contact information. This information is then verified and approved by our customer service staff.

Step 3: House rules 
After filling out our online check-in form, tenants need to read through our house rules. They are then asked to accept and sign these rules, which are then saved in our system. We take this extra step to ensure that all tenants clearly understand what is allowed during their stay.

Step 4: Additional screening 
If we still have any uncertainties about the tenant, we conduct a manual verification where the tenant is contacted by phone by one of our customer service representatives. A series of verification questions are asked to confirm the purpose of the stay and the tenant´s identity. This is a final measure taken to guarantee that all our tenants meet our standards. 
If a tenant does not pass our screening and verification procedure, we cancel the booking. We make this decision to ensure that we only have tenants who will take care of the property and the neighborhood. Additionally, to build a sustainable and long-term relationship with you, our owners, we believe that security is always the top priority.
