Welcome to our charming, unique loft apartment in a house built in 1557, completely renovated with new kitchen, bathroom and bedroom in April 2022. Located in the absolute heart of Old Town (Gamla Stan). From here it's walking distance to most of Stockholm's top attractions, including the the Royal Palace and the Nobel museum....

The location was amazing as you are right in the middle of everything. The only drawback was there was not much of a living room. Perhaps the upstairs room could have been reconfigured a bit better to not only have pull out sleeping spaces, but also be a comfortable couch sitting areas with a TV. It didn’t matter much though as we were out enjoying the city the whole time. In hindsight we wouldn’t have changed a thing.

A Magical Stay in the Heart of Gamla StanWe had an unforgettable stay in Stockholm’s Gamla Stan. The location could not have been better. We were right in the heart of Gamla Stan, surrounded by charming cobblestone streets, historic buildings, cozy cafés, restaurants, and shops. Being just steps from the Royal Palace made the stay feel incredibly unique and gave us the opportunity to experience Stockholm’s history and character from the moment we stepped outside.The house itself had so much charm and history. There is something wonderful about staying in a building that has stood for roughly five centuries—it gives the experience a sense of authenticity that you simply cannot get from a modern hotel. At the same time, it was a wonderful base for exploring the city and enjoying everything Stockholm has to offer. Our stay was a memorable part of our trip, and we would happily return.

I stayed at William's place for 4 nights in late July, 2026 with my wife and two kids (16 and 13 years old). The house was just as described and the location in Gamla Stan was vibrant and fun. There is so much to do and see just within a 10-minute walk of the house! We spent a couple of days on Djurgarden (the island with several museums and Grona Lund), and the ferry stop (called Slussen) was just a 10-minute walk from the house. I was impressed with how clean Gamla Stan was. As for the house itself, my 13 year-old son loved sleeping up in the loft, and it felt like there was plenty of room for the four of us. As noted in the description, the stairs are a little gnarly, but we had no trouble getting up and down. This was the perfect place for us to stay for our time in Stockholm. Thank you, William!

Fabulous location off the main streets of Gamla stan. 7 eleven right around the corner and lots of cafes to choose from. Great place for families with independent kids. Luxury coffee machine!

- Having dinner, party or events with external visitors/guests? Communicate BEFORE booking. We need information and other prices for events and partys may apply! Discussion and openness is key for any such bookings to take place!
(For example: You can NOT book for 4 persons and then have a dinner party for example 8 guests). Also please note the Airbnb Policy for party and events apply.
-Strictly no guests except for confirmed number of guests in the booking unless from our side explicitly agreed beforehand.
-If any extra guests are seen entering we will cancel the booking without no refund as it is strictly against the house rules.
- No partying or "events" are allowed, including "dinners/drinks for friends". Ask if in doubt.
-With respect for our neighbors: quiet after 22:00.
- No smoking whatsoever (also not by the window) - you need to walk out on the street. Smoking in the house/apartment or by the windows will be charged with SEK 5000 minimum.
-Due to allergy: no pets allowed.
-Do not leave the windows open without properly securing them.
-Do not use bed sofa (nor pillows and duvets) without proper bed linen for hygiene reasons. Also please don’t use the decoration pillows and bed throw for sleeping.
-Please do not wear shoes inside the unit (which Swedes never do).
-Normal check-in is 16:00 or later. Check-out is 10:00. Late check-out and/or early check-in may be possible, but will come with a fee for express cleaning.
-As stated elsewhere in this listing - we have digital entrance control with CCTV recording of the entrance door.

To receive a full refund, guests must cancel within 48 hours of booking, and the cancellation must occur at least 14 days before check-in.
If guests cancel 14 or more days before check-in but not within 48 hours of booking, the host will be paid 50% for all nights.
If guests cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, the host will be paid 50% for all nights.
If guests cancel after that, the host will be paid 100% for all nights.
