I have mixed feelings about Fredrik’s apartment.The location is excellent. The neighborhood is quiet and upscale, albeit less vibrant than others. The apartment itself is also good. It’s modern and clean, with amenities like an induction stove, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. That said, it’s also minimally furnished to the point of being austere. I was comfortable, but if you’re looking for cozy, this isn’t it.My main frustration was with the host; I regularly felt like I was being nickel-and-dimed. A fee for early check-in. A fee for late check-out. When I arrived, there was only one pillowcase and one towel. When I requested another of each, I was asked to pay $20. In the host’s defense, the listing did specify this in the fine print (which I didn’t see). Still, it felt oddly miserly: not what I’d expect for the price of luxury hotel. If you’re comfortable with caveat emptor, this apartment may suit nicely. But if you prefer to avoid headaches, you may be happier with a hotel.

We had a wonderful time in Södermalm. The location truly is unbeatable and if you’re into running, there’s plenty of beautiful routes to take. There’s a bus stop a couple of minutes from the building which made commuting very easy. A coop right across the street. The apartment was clean, very quiet and had good quality water pressure and quality bed linen. My only comment would be that the check-in process was a bit long but once you get used to the codes, (we’d memorised them by day two) the rest of the stay was a breeze! Olof was very responsive to any inquiries we had. Overall I would stay here again without hesitation!
