The slopes in Åre
Åre has slopes for both beginners and advanced skiers. There are easy slopes for children and newcomers, and more challenging runs for those who are experienced. Some slopes are long and winding, while others are steep and fast. In total, there are 88 different pistes in various difficulty levels, giving you plenty of options to explore.

Åre is divided into several ski areas, each with its own character. Here is a brief overview:
Åre Village:
The central ski area with a wide selection of slopes for all levels. You will find everything from long green runs to the most challenging black pistes, as well as a snowpark for jumps and tricks.

Björnen:
A family-friendly area with many easy slopes and a few intermediate ones. It also has children’s areas and sledding hills.

Duved/Tegefjäll:
A calmer area with mostly intermediate slopes. There is a snowpark here as well, along with opportunities for off-piste skiing.

Slope difficulty levels
In Åre, slopes are colour-coded to indicate difficulty, making it easy to choose runs that match your skiing ability.
- Green slopes: The easiest slopes, ideal for beginners. Perfect for practising turns and stopping at a relaxed pace.
- Blue slopes: Slightly more challenging than green slopes, with steeper gradients and longer runs.
- Red slopes: For confident and experienced skiers who want more challenge. Red slopes are steeper and often have more varied terrain with turns, rollers and other features.
- Black slopes: The most difficult slopes. Skiers using black runs should have strong technique and solid experience.
