Guestit is launching a new compliance platform that provides authorities such as the police and social services, as well as neighbors and housing associations, with direct access to relevant information about rental operations. The purpose is to increase transparency, enhance security, and create better, more structured collaboration and trust among all stakeholders.
Digitalized flexible rentals present specific security challenges, particularly when interaction with guests does not always take place physically. Despite thorough guest screening, ID verification, and contract controls, Guestit sees the need for additional measures — including the structured sharing of information and closer collaboration with neighbors, property owners, voluntary organizations, and public authorities.

The platform provides stakeholders with secure, GDPR-compliant access to relevant information to streamline essential tasks — such as communicating house rules, conducting security assessments, investigating crimes, and managing fire safety compliance.
Among other things, it enables:
- Neighbors and housing associations to gain insight into which apartments are being rented and to contact Guestit directly in case of disturbances, 24/7.
- Police and social services to search for information regarding stay periods and geographic areas, and, in cases of suspected crime, request information about individual tenants.
- Voluntary organizations and researchers to access anonymized data for trend analysis and risk assessment.
