Such a great location!

If you are looking for a historical stay, something you would not get anywhere else - This is the place. Not for those with weak knees with all the stairs, but so lovely to stay in the heart of Gamla Stan and see the shops and restaurants open and close, be close to everything, and be in a historical home where people have lived since at least 1672. Remarkably updated (although small the kitchen is really well proportioned) - My kids will talk about this place for years to come

If you are looking for an Airbnb that can elevate your Stockholm experience, look no further! Olof's Airbnb is a true Gamla Stan apartment whose building dates back to the 1600s.It is located just off one of the nicest, prettiest and most atmospheric of the Gamla Stan streets, on an alley with a stone vault that dates back to the Middle Ages, and it even came with original(?) wooden cellar doors!The apartment had been renovated faithfully to highlight its cellar history and its semi-underground nature, and it'd been modernised beautifully, totally functional and liveable.It genuinely, honestly, truly exceeded our expectations and was far better than how we had imagined the place. It was very roomy and plenty comfortable for 3 adults, and the interior was so, so nice and attractive, making even relaxing and resting back at the base feel really special.Olof was a wonderful host to us, attentive, friendly and kind. We have no hesitation whatsoever to return and to recommend!!!

It’s truly a wonderful place to stay, and it’s great for taking walks. I hope next time I visit I can stay longer—I’d really love to spend more time here.

Fantastic location, close to everything we wanted to see!

Clean apartment and nice white bed linen. Plenty of storage space. Ideal for short stay and near train station. No toaster or oven. Only 1/4 toilet roll in property on arrival. Sink in bathroom blocked so water kept filling up in sink and took ages to empty.

Great location for public transport. Very clean and cozy. Close to two good restaurants—up the hill by the Water Tower and the Library. At night it’s best to keep the windows closed due to street noise. One small point: it would be helpful if there were a way to leave the house without relying only on your mobile phone.

The Airbnb is really lovely, and the area is fairly central, so there are shops and services nearby, while still feeling calm and quiet. It’s just a short walk from a metro station that quickly connects you to Stockholm’s main tourist areas.Communication with William was excellent—he replies quickly and is very friendly.
