Charming loft in Gamla Stan, Stockholm

The four of us, all adults, appreciated staying here very much. It was a historic house, so it had that historic feel, but all the amenities were modern, so it was very pleasant to live in. The staircases were steep, and having close housing, it could be noisy at night as you heard everything outside when the windows were open. But, we appreciated the air flow, even on the warm summer days. It was close to so many things, we enjoyed being able to stop by this place during the day, refresh and keep going. We loved staying in Gamle Stan. The restaurants and bars were awesome. We did cook breakfast every morning, it did have sufficient kitchen supplies, but not any extras like oil or salt and pepper. Though the coffee pot was full of beans ready to be ground. We were very happy we stayed here and the host was very responsive.

Spacious 3-bedroom apt in Gamla Stan, Stockholm

The location of this home is great. It is close to the train station but on an outer street of Gamla Stan, which means the foot traffic isn't as crazy. During our stay it was extremely hot, and, coming from America, it was difficult to adjust to the heat with no air conditioning (but that would have been true anywhere in Stockholm). There were three fans provided, but there were people sleeping in four spaces, so one room was pretty stifling with no air flow. I wished we had brought a top sheet for the bed, as it was too hot to sleep with a duvet, but we were able to find a top sheet at Ikea. While there, we also bought extra washcloths and some bath mats, since those things are not provided, per the listing. The kitchen of this house is sunny and bright and a wonderful gathering spot in the mornings. There is a small market close to the house, which was very convenient. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place, especially for larger groups.

Cozy Mosstorp studio on Lidingö, Stockholm

Overall, the holiday was very relaxing. The place has excellent connections to public transport—train, bus and ferry (we didn’t try the ferry since the bus or train was simply quicker for us). Everything you’d expect from a basic setup was provided. Our flight was delayed, and we were still able to check in in the middle of the night because we received all the information in advance.We could cook as there’s a hob, and we were also able to do laundry thanks to the washer-dryer in the bathroom. We didn’t use the TV at all—we would have had to book it as an extra, and we didn’t need it. There are plenty of power outlets; by the bed there are only USB ports, and of course we’d forgotten the right cable.With the window open, we didn’t find the street noise particularly loud, as our room was fairly far back—and we’re also used to some city noise. The bed was already folded out when we arrived and was genuinely comfortable.A small supermarket (Tempo) and a slightly larger one (Coop) are within walking distance. You can also take the bus for part of the way to Coop if you don’t feel like walking the whole distance.

Bright 2br apartment in Sundbyberg, Stockholm

Small but cosy apartment near Stockholm. Great access to public transport — you can reach central Stockholm in about 15 minutes by train or metro. A supermarket and a few restaurants are just a short walk away.The only downside was the kitchen. It was a bit sparsely equipped and could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The extractor hood was quite greasy and the dishes were dusty. There was also a lingering smell, as if the previous guest had recently fried fish.

Modern Stockholm studio in Norrtull near Hagaparken

The studio is an excellent choice for visiting Stockholm Everything was perfect: a very nice and comfortable studio, very clean and with all the facilities you need. The location is amazing, very close to the subway station and in a very nice district. Beautiful building and easy to access.
